  • Sixty per cent of Cisco's carbon emissions is generated by air travel.  Cisco aims to decrease this by 20% within the next 18 months, by using videoconferencing and building TelePresence facilities around the world. The next Australian Netherlands Roundtable will take place in TelePresence facilities in those countries.
  • Cisco is promoting such earth-saving initiatives as traffic managment with RFID installed in cars, location tracking of public transportation, smart meters to reduce CO2 emission.
  • Cisco will promote these initiatives in Amsterdam, San Francisco and Seoul, according to BuddeBlog.
