I have been working to change all of my lightbulbs from incandescent to CFL. Only problem is that the new bulbs don't work with dimmer switches. Whoever invents a solution for that will make a killing. Anyway, it's a small start, but I've at least added the CFL bulbs where I can, and left the incandescent bulb in places that have dimmer switches. In terms of recycling, yes, I've made a lot of progress there.
Every week the bins for paper, plastic, glass, and metal are always full. And I don't just do newspapers, cans and bottles; any clean scrap of plastic or paper will find its way into the right bin. Any disposable plastic food containers, such as yogurt containers, etc., get a quick wash and then recycled. I'll keep working on being a good citizen of the planet.
